The Canadian luxury house is based out of an atelier in the Yorkville neighborhood of Toronto, Canada. It operates under the co-creative direction of mother-daughter duo Francesca Guzzo-Whyte and Jaclyn Whyte. Francesca brings more than 40 years of luxury gown-making expertise. She originally debuted her first eponymous line, GUZZO, at New York Bridal Week back in 1993. Jaclyn grew up immersed in the family trade. She officially joined forces with her mother in 2011 to launch WHYTE Couture, a high-end destination specializing in custom bespoke gowns.

Seeking to make their unique aesthetic accessible to a global audience, the duo expanded the house by launching their first ready-to-wear (prêt-à-porter) label, Jaclyn WHYTE, in Fall 2024. The brand’s rapid ascent earned them the prestigious Fashion Group International (FGI) Rising Star Award for Bridal in 2025. This cemented their authority as next-generation visionaries for the modern, confident romantic.

The SS27 ‘XOXO’ Collection Facts

Presented at the iconic Plaza Hotel during NYBFW, the Spring/Summer 2027 collection functions as an intimate “love letter to what’s next”. The line centers around several definitive trends and design breakthroughs:

  • Generational Contrast: The overarching theme of XOXO relies on a stylistic dialogue. Francesca’s classic, structured tailoring meets Jaclyn’s breezy, fashion-forward sensibilities.
  • Non-Traditional Pastel Palettes: Stepping away from traditional stark whites, the SS27 collection caught the attention of British Vogue. It features vintage-inspired romance told through muted tones like soft blush pinks, pastel blues, deep creams, and subtle grays.
  • Versatility & Hidden Elements: A major highlight of the collection is functional versatility. Gowns include removable overskirts, detachable bow cuffs, and hidden multi-piece transformations. The “Jane” gown, for example, transforms from a long-sleeve lace sheath into a mini slip dress. Designers also added playful hidden stitched messages inside select garments.
  • Intricate Textiles & Proportions: The line places detailed vintage-inspired lacework center stage. It utilizes hand-appliqués, corded laces, and luxurious silk Duchesse satin. Pieces like the “Cava” gown showcase structured, boned corsets that release into dramatic A-line skirts with cathedral-length trains.
